Sorry if replying to old threads isn’t allowed.

I had another coolant leak. Turns out, the bulkhead fitting cracked internally, leading to a puddle on my floor. Oh well. I took everything out again, gutted the bulkhead, and cut the aluminum hardlines short. I snaked through some heater hose, got everything hooked up, and all is well again. Might even last longer. My question is: does the passthrough in the firewall need to be 100% sealed? Since I’m using the bulkhead housing, it’s mostly sealed, but the hose leaves a millimeter or so of play.

I like to seal those well as the exhaust runsclose to there, and you don’t want CO in the cabin. Use RTZv to seal around the hoses and renew annually
