I bought cheap 3D-printed ones on ebay. No soft rubber piece, but cheap and available.
.
I recently purchased one from the first eBay seller PN 39802015 without the rubber piece also. Perhaps it's stronger but not sure if it will scuff the seat belt overtime. I haven't installed it yet. The color is not exact as I didn't pull the broken piece for both the XC90 and S60 to check the PN. The second link is for a black cover and if the coupon is applied during check out it's $20.65.

Turning point for me was my butt cheek pinched through the shorts by that nasty crack. Don't care about color mismatch, leave my buttocks alone.

Never been pinched (Ouch! ) as I rarely wear shorts when driving so it wasn't on my radar. Too cold in winter and sun too hot in summer. Not the case with wife and kid  besides they don't like looking at it.

I had mice poop on top of both V8 in spring a year ago. Lesson learned: start and let it idle for both Toyotas at least once a week.

In summer Volvo's eco-whatever stinks, literally, no one likes driving it. In winter it's a perfect car.

Stench is not dirty carpets. I replaced 2 out of 3 carpets while they were still available. Running Tornador regularly, carpets are clean. But interior still stinks in temps above 40-50 F. It drove me mad enough that I replaced a perfectly fine A/C evaporator - still stinks.

Oh, mine! Gonna have to take that 45 minute drive to my friend's as I have 4 cars parked there in his wooded acreage that have sat since Thanksgiving. The 3 in my driveway are driven to operating temp once every two or three weeks.

One P80 and a couple P2's had either stinky mats or carpets that wouldn't would come out with cleaning. All had that Crayons smell. Had reupholster the arm rest of the 00 S70 SE Base and someone asked what was the candle for. I don't care for most car air fresheners.

Well finally one of the 2 double din radio head unit bezels arrived from Ali-Express. Naturally the package was crushed. Good news was the main surround was not damaged, put there is a thin inner bezel surround to fill the gap between the head unit and the main bezel was bent. Hopefully a bit of heat will straighten it. The 2nd option is now at least on the way and could be here in a week I hope.

Why 2 bezels? The Alpine unit has no built in bezel so the only surround for the center stack has a huge gap all the way around that looks crap. The one the installer could get seems to be the only option available at a reasonable price. I could not find one with the pocket option anywhere, so went to Ali-Express as they at least had some affordable options that may work.

Also 3/4 of the parts I had on order with Volvo Markham (bought on sale with 22% discount offer) have been shipped ahead so should be here mid week. The other part is not mission critical and as it is is back order with a mid-April ETA (maybe).

With luck then the Bluetooth head unit and back up camera can be fitted in a couple of weeks and also the folding mirrors can be fitted and then take the car to Volvo to run them on.

My 2nd attempt to reset parking brake at adjuster failed after a complete overhaul of rear brakes, replaced hub assembly.

After making a visit to Blacklab to collect some parts he had for me, I did a visit on the way home to 2 junkyards to look at what they had in the way of Volvos as one seems to not be bothering to correct or update their site.

I visited that one first to find (as I already knew from a previous visit) a 2010 S40 listed was no where to be found. A car listed as a 850 was actually a 1980 240, and the black 2009 S40 is actually dark blue.

There was no mention of the 01-04 V40, the P3 XC70, a 1998 V70 or a pre 2010 C30.

I was only there to see what they had in the way of cars, and get a LH door mirror cap and turn signal light for the 2007 folding door mirror project. On the LH mirror the lens for the turn signal is cracked an 2/4 of the mirror cap clips are broken. I also picked up a good LH mirror as the one the mirror came with had been reglued to the mount incorrectly.

I took a look at the C30 as my buddy is looking for a rear bumper cover for his 2012 C30 T5 which had rear bumper damage when purchased. I have since discovered -09 they are a 3 piece unit but for a 10- it is a 2 part unit for the T5 variant. Unfortunately no go there.

However, looking inside I found a unicorn my buddy has been looking for for over 2 years! A hardtop load cover for a C30. They last one I found on line in Canada was on FBM in Vancouver for $500 CDN!! The car also had 4 rubber Volvo floor mats. The driver's one has wear to the foot pad but the other 3 are mint. Price for all those? $30!! Whoo-hoo! :D

My mirror cover was $5 and 3 x owner's manuals (C30/S40 P1'a and P2 XC70). I don't have those in my huge stash and I can't see them wasted!

Yesterday I started working on the Xenon P2 headlight my buddy had left for me to sell. I had no way of selling it as was as it looked like this!!:

P2 Xenon LH headlight
P2 Xenon LH headlight

I had to go to 320 wet/dry grit to polish the worst out. The headlight will never be perfect due to stone ship damage we get here from the winter gravel on the roads. After about 2 hours of various grades up to 2500 and a first polish I have got this far:

P2 Xenon LH after first polish
P2 Xenon LH after first polish

A huge improvement and after another fine polish and surface coating it will be ready for sale! I really did this to see if it could be done. Yes I know you can get new lenses, but the chances of cracking the casing or damaging something is not worth the chance or cost. So this is certainly acceptable!
