My volume knob broke off so I 3d printed a replacement. It took 3 tries to get the fitment correct but it works perfect now.

I took Elizabeth on her first highway run since Robert Rspi helped with the top end cover. With her fresh valve job and aloes in Ordnung, I took her to the airport on way to SAMOP conference in Mainz. Traffic was moderate so it was 55-60 mph most of the way, and she was rolling low 30s mpg! Staying below 60 mph keeps boost low.

When I asked about the special Volvo gasket for the valve cover, he said that they don’t sell it anymore. It’s been outsourced to wurth now.

The genuine stuff is still for sale at skandix, so I’ll order that there.

The parts guy says they don’t have it no more. So I don’t know.

What do guys use this side of the Atlantic these days? Does anyone use the Volvo stuff still. I guess not if it is now NLA from Volvo.

I wonder what the Wurth stuff is they use now. I'll ask my buddy at JLR where he works now as they use Wurth products and as JLR have some engines that were used in Volvos.

And the 6 ml tube will do one valve cover. You don’t need a lot, a tiny bead rolled out , but the 50 ml is only $12-15
