I wanted to get a second opinion on an issue I'm experiencing. Car is a 2000 Volvo V40 1.9L Turbo wagon with roughly 78k on the second engine. For the past number of years I've been noticing that coolant overflow reservoir has become low and I have to refill it every so often, maybe 6-8 ounces. This Volvo is not my main car but I try to start it up once a month and put some miles on it. On the last couple of cold start ups it's be misfiring for 10-15 seconds and has thrown a CEL. I hooked up Dice/Vida and comes back with Cylinder 1 misfire. I also notice some white smoke during start up but that could just be condensation, again it's not my daily driver.
I decided to purchase a borescope that I've seen used by mechanics on YouTube. I took off the overflow cap and pressurized the coolant system to 150 kpa or 21.xx psi to simulate a "hot" motor. Three of the four cylinders look like the pictures below. I also have a video of the small leak forming and running down the cylinder wall. You can see staining on the cylinder walls too. I believe the head gasket is leaking and probably need to get that done in time.
