2000 S70 81,000K Rough Start in Wet Weather--Please Help!!!

Post by Don7622 »

During wet weather, the initial start of the day is very rough--I typically have to try 2 or 3 times to get it going. The engine will run rough at stop signs and red lights...typically falling below the typical idle of 800 but does not stall. After a couple minutes, the engine works perfectly and later starts that day are normal. I had new plugs installed at 61,000----they are only 20,000 miles old (Bosch 4 plat). I bought the car certified pre-owned from a dealer who installed a new Volvo battery at 55,000 miles (I had the battery tested

I would check spark plug wires (you do have them), air filter, and throttle body (for residue gunk).
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
