Do you have a window in your garage? If so, as Vova suggested a solar panel even inside the garage window glass will produce a current large enough to keep the battery topped up.

I use this on my T5 if I am away for two weeks as the battery is a bit weak and the 50 mA drain can leave my battery low.

Battery is probably down to 40% capacity at this point

I didn’t know these existed! My garage doesn’t have any way keep a charger on the battery so this is good alternative.

So you only need one of these for the negative terminal.

Do you remove the knurled piece completely off to kill the battery drain?

If I get a new battery, should the quick disconnect be installed on the negative (black) post first- not the negative cable attached yet?

Then install the red positive cable, then attach negative black cable to the quick disconnect.

When using one of these, how long can I let the battery sit? I don’t know how long an unused battery drains generally speaking.

There are plenty of different styles of quick disconnect connectors. Some are installed at the battery terminal, some can be installed between chassy ground and end of negative cable from battery. Some can use bolt tight design, some lever connect similar to bicycle wheel or seat, some can be turn know design. All depends on your preference. Lots of Racing specific sites will have a variety of those for sale.
In terms of battery...as mentioned before, all depends what you are using lead acid, agm, gel cell...(but mostly it is agm and lead acid). If price is not a issues, get AGM. Can buy from FCP to have warranty(not vary fair, but you will get hooked for good, so they will get their cut later). Or local auto battery shop with best warranty(usually advance has die hard which are mostly ok for top tier batteries). In terms of driving..once a week for a good 30-40 min probably would be great, but realistically it might be hard. Dont do short trips, better longer to get moisture out of oil and charge battery good

Batteries self discharge about 1% per day. One month would be fine between drives

Yes, I was searching and not surprisingly saw the race world had many options, analogous to the PC hobby.

I do get AGM batteries. I normally get them at Costco, or where is cheapest.

Yes I read that! That would be ideal, I'd have to identify someone who could do that for me. For now, the QC part on the terminal post should be fine, and certainly cheaper!
