My 850 interior rear-view mirror was getting so loose that it would vibrate, especially at lower engine speeds, to the point where everything in the rear-view mirror was blurred. Recently was at a PnP getting 850 parts and noticed the rear-view mirror in this junk car was much less wobbly than mine, so I grabbed it for my car. Once I got it home I noticed it too had the "wobble" syndrome, just not as bad as mine.
I removed my very wobbly mirror, with the intent of installing the less-wobbly mirror from the jy, when I noticed where exactly the wobble was coming from. It was where the pot-metal vertical arm meets the steel ball-and-socket pivot point near the bottom of the mirror. After thinking on it for a moment, I thought of an easy fix for this issue for almost zero cost, and it should be a permanent fix.
BTW these mirrors have a breakaway feature at the top of vertical arm; I am not referring to that feature. If it comes loose there, RobertDIY has a good vid on how to fix that:

Wobbly Rearview Mirror Syndrome Fix:
- 1 Remove mirror
2 Find yourself an appropriately sized machine screw or sheet metal screw from your junk drawer, approximately 1/8" in diameter.
3 Drill a small hole (maybe 1/8" x 1/4" deep) on the junction perimeter between the center steel part and the pot-metal vertical arm.
4 Install the screw into your pilot hole until it bottoms out. If you want to, you could add a drip of loctite before installing the screw.
5 With grinder, cut-off wheel, hacksaw, etc. cut off what's left of the screw sticking out. Grind or file until smooth.
6 Touch up with some satin or flat black paint. See pics below for illustrations.
Reinstall the mirror and that's it; no more wobbly mirror!
