Hopefully you saved the other 4 bolts that are also longer, but they are not TTY, so easier to find.

The brace came with the bolts. Only it’s the wrong ones.
I’m missing two small long bolts.

The big long bolt was he wrong bolt as well. My original bolt hat I pulled out is already the longer bolt already.

Yellow marked is what I picked up with the brace. Top bolt is from my car.

When I pull the smaller long bolts from the driver side, it was coated in some oil type fluid. Anyone know what is above those two bolt mounts?

I’m going to look for the two smaller long bolts, but for now I lightly tightened the shorter bolts with loctite.

Okay something is not quite right in that picture. Maybe a couple of bolts got mixed up.
The 2 large/long bolts are your sub-frame bolts. They are TTY ( torque to yield ) They stretch when you torque them down, so you're not supposed to re-use them. Because of the thickness of the brace, you will need 2 new rear sub-frame bolts to make up that difference (C70 vs V70). They will be a little longer than the ones on your car. The other 4 bolts on the front of the brace are also longer than what came on your car, but they are regular bolts so you can re-use them. The rear 4 bolts are the same for both vehicles.
Looking at your picture, the longest bolt must be what came with the brace. The large one in yellow must be the one from your car. The 2 medium sized bolts in yellow are most likely 2 of the 4 front brace bolts. The smallest 2 are likewise 2 of the 4 rear mounting bolts.

Wish it was true, but the bolts marked in yellow is what I got in the bag.

I reused my large longer bolt. Not sure why my car had the longer bolts.

The rear 4 small bolts were included in the bag as well, but not in the picture.

I think the used car parts shop grabbed whatever bolt they thought would go with the brace.

On another note, I got back driving around with the new brace for a bit.
Not sure if the brace is worth the slight decrease in torsion flex. I have a lot of vibration on idle and accelerating that’s now transferred to the pedal box and seats.
Feels like there’s a lot more road noise and vibration now.

Since the front is now connected to mid chassis, I did expect some of that, but not to this extent.

You can reuse those bolts if you meet all these conditions

At least 10 turns of thread engaged.

Torque to spec

Punch mark a digit on the bolt head and the frame.

Inspect after one week of driving, repeat for a month
Now inspect each month for 6 months
After 6 months, just an annual check

I put 1100 miles on my '98 V70 the past couple days, after essentially being on jack stands since October! This forum has helped me through a number of confusing points for a new mechanic, and I finally gave up on replacing the crusty/rusty calipers and brake lines and had a local mechanic finish the brake refresh. So what I did to my car was finally drive it again...and it was fantastic.

Im considering buying a 2007 XC90 with the V8 awd in about six months or so I don't know. I'm going to keep my Honda Odyssey and hand it down to my kids. Something I really want is a 1996 or 1997 850 wagon turbo model. Maybe I'll just hang on to the manual transmission I've got and drop into the next P80.

That doesn't track with my experience with the convertible brace. It added no additional NVH on either of our cars.

Now, my wife destroying 5 tires and bending 2 wheels in a year on her 855... THAT has caused problems.

I've replaced front brakes disks and pads and finished my roof liner. The roof liner bent... Ok. It's my first one.
I've have adjust the glass on the sunroof. Silicon grease works at perfection. No more noise.

That’s some dedication from your wife haha.

What subframe rubber mounts do you have installed?
Maybe mines are tired and needs to be replaced.

The vibrations are transferred from the front mounting points to the middle of the chassis, so if the subframe is shaking, seems natural to transfer those vibrations to the entire brace and mount points.
