What subframe rubber mounts do you have installed?
Maybe mines are tired and needs to be replaced.

The vibrations are transferred from the front mounting points to the middle of the chassis, so if the subframe is shaking, seems natural to transfer those vibrations to the entire brace and mount points.

Both cars had Delrin subframe bushings installed. However, even with brace (originally) installed with rubber SF bushings, there was no change in NVH.
Things were better, overall, with the Delrin, though.

I've never had any issues with vibration using the brace, and I doubt that Volvo would have tolerated any.
Sub-frame bushings seem logical. But if it wasn't doing it before the brace installation, I'd suspect something isn't right with the long TTY bolts going through the sub-frame.

Yeah, there's gotta be something else going on that's transferring vibrations through the brace. Like worn out subframe bushings, most likely.

What do you mean? I sold it four days ago. I don't have a Volvo anymore to do anything to.
Im considering buying a 2007 XC90 with the V8 awd in about six months or so I don't know. I'm going to keep my Honda Odyssey and hand it down to my kids. Something I really want is a 1996 or 1997 850 wagon turbo model. Maybe I'll just hang on to the manual transmission I've got and drop into the next P80.

It's been raining hard for idk how many days now (hard for a tropical country) and I seem to have some wetness/dampness on the carpet under the driver's (left) floor mat. No obvious leaks or anything. I sealed the fuse box screw holes about a year ago and I don't think it's that. Any ideas?

Wasn’t a Volvo day but my fiancé came with me to a scrap yard to help pull a radio amplifier and some oem roof racks for my Honda


On the Volvo side I took off the crashed fender of a parts car I bought with 644k km on it. Car drove under its own power quite well, shifted smoothly, and didn’t suck the glove in but didn’t inflate it either. Will run a leak down test on the 00 engine before swapping it into my 98 na. Other than the distributor, I didn’t see other electrical mods needed. Could be fun as I will scrap this car eventually.

I confess thst is an AI composite of a v70 and an E type front end. Scary how good the picture is
