I may have to post a new topic since it seems everyone thinks this one is resolved. The "no crank" is definitely temperature sensitive. Last night the car started several times at ~60 degrees. This morning it was 40 and the car would not crank. When I got home today it was back to 60 and it started right up. Tomorrow morning if it's cold and won't crank I'm going to check the voltage on a green/red wire that comes up to a receptacle in the fuse box under the hood (left rear) and see if that is a "service starter connector". I think there is one somewhere; the 850 diagrams show one that comes out between the ECU/immobilizer(?) and the PNP switch. The 850 diagrams say it's on the right front of the engine compartment This one gets hot (~12 volts) when I crank the starter. If this is it, and it is hot when the car won't start, I'll just wire from there to the starter solenoid The questions I have are: Does this car have an immobilizer, even though there is no 210/211 relay inside the car? Is the immobilizer locked/unlocked by the key insert independently of the rest of the security locks?
