Dash Gauges stop working?

Post by black 98 S70 »

Anyone else have this problem? The dash gauges, specifically the analog gauges plus the outside air temp all stopped functioning, but everything else worked fine. The car was turned off and restarted and the problem went away. I think it is a problem in the gauge assembly but I am hesitant to tear into it unless I know for sure.

BTW- this is a 98 s70

There are a couple of gauge clusters on Ebay.

Tap around different areas on gauge pod cluster. If you're lucky, the affected area will reveal itself by blinking affected lights...

Many times (search this forum) the headlight switch can get spotty, causing problems with pod cluster lighting. You might try pulling this out and inspecting.
