Re: help Water leakage s60 2.4t
Yes...even though the picture is hard to decipher, that looks like it. The best way to go about getting this area loose is to use a flexible socket on a short stubby ratchet. I believe that both www.ipdusa.com as well as www.fcpgroton.com sell the gasket kit (also comes with the 0-ring) for your car- couldn't cost very much, even if you go to the dealer for this.

Wow, $500...you stole this car, but then I guess you know why now. Can you take a picture? It could very well be your head gasket in which case you're in for an upper engine rebuild at the very least. Many people just opt to replace the entire engine- it's that involving and that expensive (typically just at or under a grand, depending and that's going cheap if you do most everything yourself). Check with your mechanic and make sure this is it....many would jump at a chance to buy an S60 that is in good shape (I know a few and even I might be) otherwise to replace or rebuild the engine themselves- or you might like the car enough to spend the money...
How many miles on the car and are there any other known problems?
Anyway, let us know how all of this turns out.
