Dont know if this will help anybody, but I got it started and ran it hard for 40 miles and it seems to be back to normal... We'll see.

Well I drove the car all over town and on the highway,The car ran great.Started wherever I was and drove like I used to remember, when we bought at 120000 miles. I replaced the cap and rotor. Replaced the spark plugs to the correct gap. Took a cps sensor off of a V70 in the boneyard.Replaced the starter,and fuel pump out of the bone yard.My best guess is when we had a cold snap two weeks ago, I had my boy move the car out of the drive. He has an old bronco that he has to pump the pedal to get going. By force of habit he probably floored the volvo, and we all know not to touch the pedal, that may have caused some problems. Cause later I tried to start it and I couldn't get it going.So I burned up my starter trying to get it to catch.So reading threads through this site, I kinda just went through it. Which was kinda good because the car needed some love. I replaced bulbs,tightened stuff up, cleaned it really well, cleared my codes, and now I'm excited about the car again. I think when I ran it real good for 40 miles or so, I think the car just regained it senses.Also, it has warmed up out here a bit.So I cant really pin point it.While I've been visiting these boneyards, I see a lot of clean 850's and wonder why they are in there. Alot of times, people drive them until the belt snaps and that ruins the engine. So unless your really resouceful,$1500 to $2500 to replace the motor.Most people wont invest that, And I probably wouldnt either,So I'm going to replace my belt and see how far I can go. Anyway Its a fun site to read through.

Oh yeah, I did put some two bottles of injector cleaner in it, and It smoothed the car right out on the highway.
