'99 S80 2.8L turbo Timing

I have replaced the head gasket in my '99 S80
I am now trying to get the thing timed. I have the VADIS documents concerning this procedure, but either I am not doing something right (most likely) or something has been lost in translation.
If anyone out there is familiar with this engine and this procedure I would appreciate any help you could give me.

I haven't done it, but this is my understanding from a lot of research on how to do it.

Did you take the VVT hub off of the camshaft pulley? If not, just time it up using the marks on the pulleys and the belt cover. If you did remove the VVT you have to go through the whole timing procedure in VADIS.

After you crank it around by hand twice, go past the timing marks by 1/4 turn than then come back (counter clockwise) to the timing marks, the take the old belt off and reinstall the new. You'll need to set the tensioner depending on the ambient temperature at the time.
