Could have been...change the plugs up and see if you can get a rag down in the threaded area to clean up things...make sure you use non-platinum plugs and gap them correctly. See what happens. Your S70 being one with the ETM, this could be an ETM issue...do you get any trouble codes?

The ODBII gave the following-Two were P0135(O2 sensor), then there was two P1026, a P1031(which all read Mnfctr cntrl fuel air metering.) I had platinum bosch plugs, can I buy some that aren't platinum but are gapped properly?

Just gap them- they are easy to gap...buy the Bosch copper cores- gap to 0.028 inches.
