My right front turn signal bulb blew. It's a normal orange two filament bayonet-type bulb. However, the location makes reaching it difficult. I removed the filler funnel for the wiper fluid to make room but I can't seem to twist the bulb receptacle from the headlight housing. Normally this is a quarter turn left. I've turned it 1/4 but it has not released.
Two questions:
1. is this a "normal" receptacle with a quarter turn or is it something else?
2. Do I actually need to pull the headlight housing in order to access this? I mean I can get a weak hand on it but just can't get it out.
Of course, if it were spring, I'd have more patience. But even in Atlanta, it's cold enough to make frustration come quickly.

Just twist the entire bulb connector (with bulb still intact) counter clockwise about 1/2 a turn and pull out- it should come out.
