I have a high mileage 82 Volvo 244. I need to find the correct firing order as the book shows the #1 on the cap facing the front of the vehicle. The cap itself shows the #1 facing the drivers side of the vehicle. So when I am at tdc which way should the rotor be facing. Thanks for any help.

Welcome to MVS...I know that the firing order is 1 3 4 2 for the 4 cylinder engine with number 1 cylinder being at the radiator end of the engine. I hope the following helps:
