s90 1998 check engine light on

Hi everyone, well i pulled the the plug for the maf cause i herd you can check if its good or not, i pluged it back half way in when the engine was runing but the engine seem to stall ( stalling is why i was checking in the first place) anyway the check engine light came on and stays on now for about 15 mi. is it true this might reset itself if you keep driving for x amount of miles if the maf is good. any way just thought id ask, thanks. alan from san diego (carlsbad)

It is normal for the Check Engine Light (CEL) to come on when the MAF is disconnected.

Usually the CEL stays on until it is reset using a scanner.

I have heard that the CEL can sometimes be reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes but I have never tried that. If you do decide to try it make sure you have your radio code.
