both lights came on and the speedometer quit working. had brakes. drove a few miles and lights went out and speedometer started working again. then right before I got home it all quit working again. anybody else had this problem?

Yes, you're ABS is failing- pretty common issue with your model year, but it can be rebuilt: http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/

thanks for the answer. called my mechanic and he said it would be around $300 for a rebuilt one to replace it.
