I have a US 2003 S60, 2.4liter 5-cylinder, not turbo, automatic transmission. I bought it new in Dallas, Texas in Feb 2003. It has 109,000 miles.
I recently took it in for the scheduled 105,000 mile service which includes replacing the timing belt. Ever since, my wife and I have noticed a loss in torque and horsepower. The loss is most obvious when accelerating quickly. Short ramps onto freeways, dropping into passing gear and steep hills on the highway are particularly difficult. Above 4,000rpm, the engine will often surge and chug as if dying.
What should I do?
S60 2003 Loss of power

Welcome to MVS.
Take it back and complain that since the change you have lost power...I'm thinking that it's one tooth off and the dealer has retarded the timing by a hair.
