Hi Gang,
We have a 2004 S60R car. I need new tires and the current ones are the Pirelli P-Zero 235/45R17 97Y. It has been recommended that the Eagle F1 94Y is a good replacement. Will this affect the car...other than the stickiness of the tires (performance). But then I don't generally do 120 through Omaha Nebraska. The concrete roads here are tough on the softer rubber. Looking for thoughts from anyone who has experienced this situation.

Welcome to MVS.
Tire choices are a series of compromises. Performance = less tire life... better life does not equal performance. All season or not- where do you live, etc., etc. Check ratings, customer reviews and pricing at http://www.tirerack.com I have bought from them for over 10 years and always have them drop-shipped to an installer near me- I love these guys! On my wife's V70 2.5T I put Bridgestone Serenity tires on (a touring tire)...also on my S70, I recently bought General Altimax tires (also a touring tire- so they say, but with a much more aggressive tread). The Generals were much cheaper but have a higher rating- We love both sets of tires and feel we made the right choice.

The Eagle F1 has new rubber compound as of recently. From what I hear it's as low mileage as P-Zero now. Make sure you look at the more recent feedback on that tire at tirerack. I recently replaced the Pirelli's on my 04 SR MT with Yokohama Avid W4S. They are all season tires and so far I love them. I bought 4 locally installed tax and all for $626.81. We have Yoko Avid H4S on our 850 and they are holding up well, lots of tread left. I only got 10,000 miles out of the Pirelli'sJonesDJ1 wrote:Hi Gang,
