My 2005 Volvo V50 has recently developed a slight groaning / rubber bushing resistance noise (for lack of a better definition) when turning the steering wheel to the left or to the right. Seems to be coming from the lower part of the steering wheel shaft, near the firewall. Outside temperature- high or low- doesn't seem to increase or decrease the sound level.
No other steering issues.. vibrations, thumps...etc.
Any thoughts?
VOLVO V50/ T5- 2005 - STEERING WHEEL NOISE
