To vegasjetskier:
How do you print a .pdf file of a page from VADIS.
I have a copy of VADIS but don't know how to print an individual page from it in .pdf format.
Thks,
Dwight

hello vega,

do you also have any guide for changing the upper mount??
it will save some time since i haven't done this before.

one more question: do you think i will need new bolts for the passenger side engine mount? I emailed Fcp to find out if the engine mount comes with the bolts but it doesn't. The Fcp guy told me that he can get them for me if I provide him the OEM numbers for these bolts. Do you know where I can these numbers?

sorry for being a pain...

Here's how to change the mount:

Here's how to remove the crossbar (do this before you change the mount):

Also, the first part of this how-to shows how to remove the bolts from the ends of the crossbar:

Here's an engine mount parts diagram. You can get the bolt part numbers from the column on the right:

Personally, I don't think it's necessary to change the bolts. I think the rubber of the mount would fail long before the bolts broke. But it's your decision.

You're not being a pain. Everyone has to start somewhere. That's the purpose of this forum - Volvo owners helping other Volvo owners. Pay it forward. :D

Go here and download and install Win2PDF: http://www.win2pdf.com/

Win2PDF will then be listed as an available printer.

When you are in VADIS and want to print a page, select the Print Screen button on the left or bottom of the screen. When the Print box appears, click in the Name window and type in Win2PDF as the printer. Click OK and another screen will appear which will let you choose where you want to store and what you want to name the file. Then click Save.

PS: Thanks to MadeInJapan for letting me know about this program! :D

Neworleans, this PDF shows how to remove the vibration damper (you need to do this to change the lower right engine mount). You don't, however, need to remove the belts.

i was really thinking that i could change the lower mount by myself until i saw this vibration damper...:) It made it little complicated now. I don't know if I should even try to change it myself now. All i was going to do is to remove the tire, unbolt the screws lift the engine put the new one back in... but it doesn't look that easy anymore.. (:

Is the procedure the same for the 05 S80 2.5T?

Let me know if this sounds right. There is an upper engine mount and 3 lower engine mounts.

I just had the upper mount replaced, but when I'm idling, the car shakes. I feel that a car like this shouldn't shake like this at idle (46k miles). I'm looking into replacing all the lower engine mounts.

Is this something I can do at home without special tools?

And how important is it to follow the torque specs? I was reading in the PDF about tightening 60 degrees or 90 degrees. Is just tightening it to something that feels tight, not good enough?

thanks!
