S90 1998 MAF replaced

S90 1998 MAF replaced with a after market product I bought on ebay. It cost with shipping 80.00 US. AS I have mentioned several times on this sight about my S90 stalling a few times a day when coming to a stop. It did the trick and Im very glad! Should have done it right away and I would have saved $$$. I tried disconecting the battery cables to to get the check engine light off but that didnt work. I also have coming a Idle control valve used on ebay for $25 including
if the MAF didnt work. I had the icv cleaned and a new battery and that cost me $250..ouch! All I can say is that this s90 is by far one of the best driving cars Ive driven and Volvo's are a great car. This is my seconed, the other was a 89 740. I traded that for a camper van. Im rambling, safe driving everyone.

How long did you leave the battery disconnected to clear the codes?

Hi Bill thanks, I didnt know for how long. I just disconected and then conected, 5 seconds worth.

update: disconnected battery this time for 5 min. engine light off...hope it stays off. thanks for the heads up.

It's a method I have never used but I was told that disconnecting the battery for 5 to 15 minutes should do the trick. You beat me to it!!
