That sucks man.....sorry to hear 'The Man' nabbed you!
You know, I have been contributing annually to several police organizations such as The Fraternal Order of Police, The National Police and Trooper Association, and my local Sherriff's Organization. These all charge $30 to $75 a year for membership. And.....even though it is not supposed to impart any special privileges, I swear it has helped me not be ticketed. I have been pulled over 3 times in the last year and have gotten a warning ticket once and a verbal warning twice. One was for exceeding the 20 mph zone thru a turnpike toll area, and the other two would have been for well over 70 in a 55, but since I "officially" wasn't speeding (nod nod, wink wink) I was simply told to be careful. It is like once the cop has run my license, there is something registered with them and they are inclined to give me a break. Yes, I am knocking wood right now....lol!
Of course, here in the Midwest we have pretty laid back cops too. Most of them are very decent people, very professional. Not too many dickheads.
