Is it possible to recharge the refrigerant (R-143a)?? If so where do you attach the bottle hose??

Yes you can. Volvo says to only charge through the highside fitting. But you need a special machine to do that.

The kit you get at the auto parts store with just a little valve on a hose that you connect to a 12oz. freon can only connects to the lowside fitting. This is to prevent you from overpressurizing a can of freon and causing it to explode.

I have read (haven't done it myself) of people recharging through the lowside fitting on the P2 cars. It is over by the power steering fluid reservoir down between the fender and the engine. Here's a PDF that shows where it is in the car:

Of course you do not want to take the needle valve out. Just take the protective cap off and connect the fitting from your recharge hose, then recharge.
