removing glass covers on S80 headlamps

Post by bajaman »

The right side cover has a thin discoloration on the interior side. I want to remove the cover, but so far have been stymied. Does anyone have instructions on how to do it?

So, any details on the procedure? I see a series of clips on the top side when I open the hood, and there is a tab-like thing on the bottom of the light cover on the exterior side. However, it seems like the way the front fascia and the turn signals fit that they almost need to come off first.
I don't want to break the darned things, I hear they cost a pretty penny!

Two cars. Four turbos. Gotta love it.
