2003 S80 2.9 Engine Noise after car is shut off

Hi, My 2003 S80 is making a buzzing noise after the car is shut off. It is not a fan. The sound is coming from what looks like a silver solenoid just lower and to the right of the radiator(if your sanding at the front of the car).The sound is not constant , it occurs about every 20-30 sec for about 2-3 seconds. It does this for about 5 minutes then stops. It has a few hoses and an electrical connection on it. Any ideas what this part is? Can I change it myself? There is no errors / problems displayed on dash ad everything works fine in the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
