When to replace wires, cap & rotor

Post by Mister 93 »

I have a '93 850GLT. The markings on my wires have '92 on them. I assume they are original equipment. My question is this, when should they be replaced? the car seems to run fine, or it could have gotten slowly sluggish over the years and I just didnt notice since it was a gradule change. I havge 163K on it. I would guess the cap and rotor are original also.

Thanks
93 850 GLT, just hit 163K

100k is the interval for cap and rotor.
Wires can last longer, but at 163k, they surely need changing also.

You can check wires by running the car in a garage at night with the lights out to look for electric arching from wires to block. If there's arc, they're really bad.
