99 S80 T6 engine system service

This has been going on for a while, I just ignore it because it would just not come on for days and then come back. Now is constantly on, Engine Systme Service Required, I tried the reset on this forum and after the beep sound it will not reset, it just gives me a 44. Tried a few times and still get a 44, what does it mean. Thanks

Yeap, that's the one. Now at position 1 nothing should light up right? It's at position 2 that all lights come on.
