Hello, my 99 volvo has a message saying the transmission needs to be serviced. Because I just recently purchased the car, with 116ks, I finished installing a new water pump, timing belt all the pulleys and tensioner, new serpentine belt and tensioner, oil change with mobil 1 (15w50)
synthetic, all filters, trans filter and oil change and new NGK platinum plug. Long weekend.... Now I would like to know how I can delete the trans need service message. The other thing is the location of the fresh air filter location . Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
99 s80 trans service warning

I don't think generic OBD readers can clear that code, but I know my BSR PPC diag tool can.

Also FWIW, my GM tranny seems really sensitive to low fluid level. I have to leave motor running and in neutral to get a good reading. Kind of funny as everything else on my Volvo seems really sensitive to overfilling. Anywho...
