2004 V70 T2.5 Rear hatch will not open.

Trouble with my 2004 V70 and the latch will not open hatch. Good ryhme but not a good situation. Locking and unlocking door locks does not relase. Usually if doors are locked an attempt to open the hatch, causes the latch to disable. This does not occur. Suggestions?
