I recently had my engine cleaned.
A day later my car felt like it was "chugging"
I looked and saw that the upper engine mounts bushing was cracked.
I brought it to a mechanic to have it fixed (I don't have my own garage right now - so it will cost me $130 rather than $26)
The mechanic called me and said it is not just the bushing. There are 6 codes that popped up, a number of them misfire codes.
They want to charge me $240 for a full diagnostic and of course repairs on top of that.
My question is: does anyone have information on this? and is it just a coincidence that I just had my engine cleaned?
I figure misfire codes have to do with my spark plugs. Am I mistaken?

Not a coincidence, in my opinion. Water probably got down in the plug wells. I'd shop-vac out the wells then take out the plugs for a few hours and let them dry.does anyone have information on this? and is it just a coincidence that I just had my engine cleaned?
Certainly they're set because of water in the wells.I figure misfire codes have to do with my spark plugs. Am I mistaken?

Thanks. I went ahead and replaced the spark plugs while I was at it. I've never done this before (let alone anything but put gas in my car), however with the information I picked up from your site I had the confidence to got out in 25 degree weather and fixed my volvo. How about that?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
