FYI: Before you change your motor mounts...

I have a 740 GL SW, non-turbo. My engine used to shake something fierce. I assumed it was the motor mounts. Changed those. The engine still shook (when I mean shake, I mean that when you grab the oil cap you can shake the engine back and forth a pretty good distance, which makes for a shaky idle as well). Turns out that the tranny bracket was broken. Replaced it (for about 12 bucks, considerably less than motor mounts) and the engine is solid. Of course, at 262K miles the motor mounts probably needed replacing anyway.
