ABS kicking in for no reason

For the past couple of months the ABS will kick in when not needed. This typically happens when the car is still cold or within 5 minutes of driving it. I was told this is probably due to a dirty ABS sensor. I was wondering if there is an easy, inexpensive fixt for this? Thanks!

I'm not sure the exact design of this specific system but have you tried taking a look at the sensor(s)?

Clean the reluctance rings and the sensors. The fronts are fairly easy to get to, the rings are slightly inset behind the steering knuckle. The rears are harder to get to but easier to clean. You need to remove the brake drums to get to the rings on the rear.

I don't have a picture of the fronts but there is a picture of the rears in this thread.

The best picture of the ABS sensor and the reluctance ring in that writeup is the one titled New shoes installed with springs. The reluctance rings look like a plastic gear.
