Emissions test passed

Post by matthew1 »

... and the guy smiled and said "Volvos always pass. Very good emissions cars" Good work Volvo.

If anyone wants to compare numbers:

Cruise, 1670 RPM
limit HC, CO(%), CO+CO2(%), O2(%)............. 150, 1, 6, n/a
actual HC, CO(%), CO+CO2(%), O2(%)............. 35, .14, 15.34, .06

Idle, 860 RPM
limit HC, CO(%), CO+CO2(%), O2(%)............. 220, 1.2, 6, n/a
actual HC, CO(%), CO+CO2(%), O2(%)............. 51, .04, 15.24, .03

I can't explain the CO+CO2(%) numbers and why my 850 passed, where my 850 was 3x the limit.

Matt,
You are going to have to replace that timing belt or update your signiture.

By the way, if your headlight wipers only need new blades, just cut off a used windshield wiper blade to fit. It works fine and is free compared to the OEM refills.

Thumbs up on the emissions.
