2000 S80 T6-How to change Fuel Filter?

Hello mates,

Could any one suggest on how to replace the fuel filter on my 2000 S80 T6?

Any pics that show the filter location would be appreciated...

from what i remember from my own s60 the fuel filter is positioned under the car between the front and back wheel drivers side(passenger side for left hand drive) approx 100mm in from edge,its pretty easy to remove ,just a half circle clamp holding the filter to underneath of car,hope this helps

hello mate,

i changed my fuel fiter today, it was exactly where you said. Before i changed it, i started the car and pulled the fuel pump fuse out and car stopped. I read this somewhere to avoid fuel splashing your face.

bought the filter for 15bucks at fcp.

it is very easy, everybody can do this.

There's a valve in front of the fuel filter on my 2003 S80 for releasing the pressure. Was surprised that there's no mention of it in VADIS, which says to relieve pressure from rail The British Haynes manual for five banger V70 and S80 had the correct procedure though:

...a valve similar to a tyre valve is fitted in the fuel line supplying the filter. Unscrew the valve cap. then position a container or wad of absorbent rag under the valve. Turn your head to one side to avoid any fuel spray, then depress valve stem for a few seconds to release initial spurt of fuel. Refit the valve cap. Disconnect the quick release couplings by depressing the button on the coupling.
