1988 740 turbo 2.3 wagon need help

Post by tina pangborn »

My problem is finding out were some parts are located. My car keep stalling out (no sounds just died) any finaly quit running. I have no spark but have replaced the spark plugs rotor and rotor cap and the ignition module, its sounds like mt fuel pumps are working I do smell gas also, that is why I'm thinking the problem is electrical, please help!

Do I have a ecu self diagnostics system? if so were is it located?
Do I have a Halls sensor? I need to know where this is located. Basicly I would like to know if there is anywere on the internet that I can go to see a diagram of my engine mainly electrical Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

It sounds like your RPM sensor went bad. This is why you are not getting any spark. Very common issue on these cars.
