Problem with my 1994 850 Wagon, n/a 160,000 miles.
Today, driving 65 on the freeway, the engine cuts out, tach says 0 RPM, and the check engine light (only) comes on. I give it a lot of gas, the CEL goes out, the engine kicks in, and after initial high RPM, it evens out. Then it repeats until it is on-off on-off. Pull off the freeway and it's fine.
So, even though the CEL is back off, will I be able to pull the codes that turned it on?, and which pin/plug should I read. All of them?
(fwiw, it occurred just 30 seconds after remarking how reliable the car has been.)
Thanks. Any advice is appreciated.

Here's the list of the codes:
Do you know if the codes remain even if the check engine light went off by itself?

Normally they are like an elephant and they never forget anything. If you have a bunch of codes clear them and see what comes back.
Volvos are kinda unique in that they can actually set codes and codes can be read even without a CEL.

Actually the Lamda light does reset itself after getting error codes multiple times. The problem that caused the error in the first place is not resolved and nor are the codes deleted. Sometimes codes are not cleared after a problem is resolved with a new part and these codes are refered to as ghost/ rogue codes. This is why the recommendation is to read and clear the codes first and then see which codes return so you do not go mad replacing parts that are not problematic.
