1986 740 headlight issues

Long time since I need help,
My problem is my headlights won't go on now unless I pull back on the high beam lever and hold it. other than that, no dash, no parking lights.
Inside info: A few months ago I was down to one low beam as one burnt out...kept forgetting to buy the replacement. Also, all the fuses are good.

Any Ideas what to look for? I'm sure it's simple!

I would suspect the light switch is faulty.

That was one of my items to check...actually the easiest as it is an aftermarket switch.

Thanks bill,
It was a connection behind the aftermarket switch was corroded and distorted from the heat...the wire eventually fell apart.
