Brakes--Is it possible?

Post by mel »

Is it possible that my ABS & tracs could have gotten messed up when I got my brake pads replaced? I had no probs with my 1996 850 until I got new brake pads. Now both warning lights occasionally come on & I can be driving on the highway & feel that ABS vibration under the car & suddenly those orange warning lights appear. The mechanic is unable to find anything & seems reluctant to look any further--he says if he has to get involved with the computer, it gets incredibly expensive (he thinks not worth it) -- anyone out there with any clues?

Get a second opinion. I wouldn't take chances with your brakes. If you don't stop you crash.. not good. It may be something simple he overlooked.
