does anyone know where the SRS control units is and have any instructions on how to remove, thanks Dan I found a site that can fix it for $80 instead of replacing for $600

It is under the centre console.

Disconnect the battery negative lead and wait for 3 minutes before going any further.
Remove two screws at the rear of the centre console storage compartment and lift the compartment backwards and upwards.
You should then see a protective boot. Push it to one side and disconnect the connector.
Remove 3 control module screws (torx 25) and lift the control module out.

When re-installing the module take care that nothing comes between the module and the bodywork.
Install the 3 screws and tighten to 10nm.
Re-install the other components in the reverse order.
I am not sure, as this is a rebuild and not a replacement, whether you will need software loaded at this stage. Hopefully the shop repairing the module will be able to advise on this one.
Before re-connecting the negative lead switch the ignition to position 11. The SRS light should come on and then go out after 7 seconds.
