Center console box and drink holders

Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of fixing the center console of my S80 T6 Volvo (2000). I've only removed a few screws. I'm afraid to keep going in case this module affects other stuff around it.

The problem is the latches that opens the armrest box and the drink holder door. Something is stuck and the latches does not release to let the doors to open.

Can anyone help?
I am new to the forum..... I'm impressed with the content....

There is a "push button kit" that sounds like your problem. We mainly sell them for the 01' and up S80, so email your vin and request so we can double check. These commonly break and cause the problem you describe.
