Local mechanic argued stalling ( in gear ) at idle and rev " hunting " at idle was the " flame trap / pcv " box although there were no codes.
I argued it was likely the etm ( after reading the forums here ) and after $ 700 for labor and pvc box car runs worse than before.
I found the hose to the base of the throttle body just hanging down unconnected.
So car still wouldn't idle, but after his work it also had big time oil smell and a couple of leaks I've not seen before.
I've cleaned up all the hoses and removed the throttle body and cleaned that including contact cleaner in the rheostat. It appears he routed the " pcv " hoses correctly so I'm not clear as to why oil seemed to be present where it wasn't before ? Also it seems there is a hairline crack in the accordian hose back of the engine where some other hoses attach.
Are there ( more ) fresh updates on people using the modified throttle body, now out of colorado, and although the car has been running for some time with the accordian hose split, how much pain is r & r on that ?
Thanks so much. This site is phenomenal
