2004 S80 Moonroof won't shut

Hello Moderator: Please permit me to open this new thread to get assistance on the above topic.
My car is low mileage(<40k), had 2-3 times in warranty requested the moonroof problem be fixed. It was, but didn't last outside of the warranty period. They however did me the favor of closing it shut and advised me not to open it, unless I spent the $1k labor+parts.
They now think its the rails. Any brainstorming suggestions appreciated to fix it including doing so myself.

In the interim, would it be feasible to remove the fuse so we don't accidentally open it?

I also saw the PDF from Mr BillofDurham and I'm wondering where I can get the details of the removal/ replacement if I chose to go that route.
