I easily removed a front O2 sensor from an very rusty New England 2000 V70 with 360k miles. I started by spraying it with Kroil penetrating oil 2-3x per day for days. I used a MiniDuctor inductive heating device to subject it to 10+ heat-cool cycles, one every 30-60 mins. I got it so hot that I heard the metal ticking from expansion, likely breaking the rust bond. Or as abscate says, use a blow torch.

I removed the sensor from underneath using a Lilse 12390 oxygen sensor crows foot wrench. It has a 3/8" drive on the face and a 1/2" drive on the end. I think I used an extender in the 3/8" hole, attached that to my ratchet, then slipped a long pipe over the ratchet handle. With strong, constant torque, I was able to break it free then remove it. The ratchet allowed me about 1/4 turn before having to remove and reposition the crows foot. Took time but it worked on the first try... after all that prep.

I had the car on a lift but I bet this could be done using jack stands while lying on your back. Just be darn sure those stands are secure and add a back up support like wood or wheels. You'll be applying a lot of force to the car so you don't want it to shift.
