Good point. Check that you have the correct CEM. It may not be the original and they have substituted one which will show the mileage of the original car. Not sure if a P2 CEM transplant even works though. On a P80 (older) car the 99-00 can only be transferred if the car is the same spec and transmission type. Even then it will not display the cars original mileage that is held in both the CEM and ECU. In fact, on that case it just shows what is on the replacement CEM in terms of mileage. However, you cannot access the ECU and TCU as the CEM is not matched to the ECU Vin#. Car will run though.

Someone drove it during Covid and put those miles on. I don’t buy the mileage changing due to a jump start for a second.

If that happened Volvo techs would know about it , see if anyone chimes in here on that topic
