No, they look like this, I can't see the part number but there are blue bases and grey bases in our DIM's:

Are you sure the bulbs don’t pull out of the holders?

They can be pulled out. In my case some bulbs fell out of the holders, and I glued the bulb to the holders. Now my dash lights up properly.

I just got a message from a P2 owner (x2) and he had this to say:
Hi, Matthew. I just read a post from someone that needed replacement bulbs for the instrument cluster in their Volvo, but didn't want to pay $10 per bulb. I can't say I blame them!

I had to replace the instrument cluster bulbs in a Subaru that we used to have and ran into the same brick wall- $8 per bulb and I needed 10!

Check out this company. They have the exact same bulbs for a fraction of the cost. Very easy to change too. You reuse the base with the new bulb!
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

I bought my weird T-something neo wedge CCM replacement bulbs at http://www.autolumination.com/

The website looks like it's a scam from 1997, and there's a million bad reviews (I think the owner might be rude? Never had to deal with them) but I found they shipped quick and had quality replacements.
