Help identifying parts - Many, many parts......Update!

OK, 2nd picture. The 2 small white mushroom clips. Are these for an 850 door cover panel? The small panel that fits into the main inner door panel above the door opener/door grab handle and hold the cover on? I think the part may be NLA. My version of Vida shows something there but the part has no description or part number??

I'm fairly sure this is for a door lock mechanism to lock a lever rod together with something else or another rod, but not sure what for?

Again, found in a bag of random parts, but possibly from an 850?


Found a few more parts in a bin which I am thinking are 240 or possibly 760 parts. Identified one as the under hood pad clips on both cars.

A couple more I will possibly add later if I have no success finding their home on a car!

Well as I mentioned elsewhere the cataloguing and documenting is mostly done. I still have parts I can't currently identify. Had hoped to find an 850 at the junkyard and one has not come in just as the temperature drops and the snow arrives!

If anyone wants to be frightened, here is a copy of the mostly completed spread sheet.

There is still a lot more to do as I have not organized the parts in a logical way, but that can wait for later in the year when the R is out and about again giving access to the storage bins for the smaller stuff.

My wife who is a whizz with XL spreadsheets and inventory stuff, has suggested another way to document the parts to make it easier to sort and find parts. Not sure I need/want to go that far as a lot of work is needed to get there. But, maybe....

Not that the last 3/4 of the pages are mostly the small stuff in bins but there is a lot of it and they all are the same size when it comes to part numbers!

Appreciate the help and I will find time to add more un-identified parts to the list that I need help to identify!

Here are a handful of new parts requiring an ID.

M12 nut with attached washer

This is an unusual larger flanged nut. All I have found so far is an M14 version of a similar style nut used on later Volvos

Next is a flanged locking nut. Again unusual in a longer piece at the top. Possibly something from suspension?

Last one for now. This looks like a weird silicon or soft rubber seal. It almost looks like it has 2 materials. It may be oil cooler pipe related on a P80. It was in a bag with other oil cooler line parts like the -98 metal clamp cage for the trans and turbo oil cooler lines at the radiator.

That looks like the turbo oil drain pipe seal at the block with a booger of Permatex attached

Interesting, as I have never done the turbo drain seals that I can recall. Not to say the dealer did not return the replaced parts. That is a possibility.

That long Torx screw looks like one of the front speaker/door screws in an 850.

One of the screws that holds the speaker in place, also acts as a door panel fastener.

I will check that, thanks Chuck! I think there may be a recent 850 at one of our junkyards so when we get back above -45C next week I may take a run and confirm. Always helps to have a place to start.
