I've read and re-read the description. I don't think I've ever ordered anything online and not gotten an order confirmation instantly and or tracking information. It's 2024 . I'm not interested in credit. I don't believe I'll be doing business with them again. But unfortunately It's leaving me without transportation for an extended period of time.

Over the years I've order a thousand or two worth of parts from FCP. They always fixed problems and with yours you should ask for a refund rather than credit. That being said since Volvo was owned by Geely, a Chinese car manufacturer you can expect lot of parts to be made or reman in China. The A-Premium unit is from China but seems to be of high quality and customer service is responsive. I've purchased Injectors, Coils, AC Compressors, Alternators and Hood Struts from them thus far.

If you are pressed for time just installed the FCP unit as it's a lifetime warranty but you do have to go through the credit process and use the credit on the next purchase if you warranty the alternator. Another company I've purchased from with excellent customer service is 1AAuto and they too have a lifetime warranty.

Lastly, most good batteries will have a static average charge of 12.5 Volts. During charging in the car you should get an average over 13.5 Volts on the multi-meter. As mentioned previously there are 6V, 12V and I'm sure some 24V car electrical systems so parts are listed as such rather than working voltage.

Battery reads 'good' after charging but very little power. Only a year and a half old. Car will not move. Thought I could drive the short distance to shop. Probably need to exchange it under warranty before they can work on it.
Also noticed leaking on power steering pump and hose now. :( Another $800. What is next.

What’s the resting voltage on the battery measured with a voltmeter , not a usb charger, and the ambient temperature ?

I know this doesn't help you directly but I just installed a compressor, alternator and power steering pump I pulled off a parts car in 2012. Have been waiting to use them and my originals just weren't dying but needed to change the comp so just did all three.

I see no reason you can't buy used Volvo aux system components like alternators and power steering pumps - they tend to last a very long time. eBay is full of them for $50-$75. Or just get a new cheapie and throw it on. You can also get the power steering hose rebuilt at NAPA with new hose IIRC for fairly low cost.
